Arrow's Special Parts S.p.A's story starts with the passion, innovative thinking and racing experiences of a father and son. In 1972, Furio Gianelli and his son Giorgio started Giannelli Silencers where they could design and create exhaust systems for all manner of motorcycles. It turns out they were pretty talented when it came to design and innovation and quickly advanced their brand to the top of the international market. They were growing to include a full range of exhaust options for homologated and non-homologated mopeds, scooters, and two and four stroke motorcycles for both street and dirt.
Their reputation promptly gained the interest of motorcycle producers world-wide seeking their partnership to develop exhaust to be sold on new models instead of being added as an after-market part. Giannelli exhaust could be found on new models all over the world. From the beginning, it has been important to the Giannelli family to source all of the needs of the production of its exhausts from as close to their home as possible. They have also always understood the need to read the market and anticipate its needs. Therefore, Giannelli was the first Italian company to obtain national homologation of its products with the E.E.C directive 97/24 CE and since then, the tougher C.E.E. e3 homologation.
With his itch for racing firing up again, the son Giorgio, decided to use the knowledge and adeptness he had gained in working with his father and try his hand at producing high performance exhaust systems and racing parts. He started Arrow Special Parts S.p.A. in 1995. Giorgio worked with Michele Rinaldi the former 125cc World Champion to develop off-road exhaust systems and handlebars for distribution. They finally saw success with a Belgian rider they sponsored named Georges Jobé when he won the 500cc World Championship. Any company that wants to be known for producing racing parts knows that the only place to design and develop those pieces is in a racing environment.
The renowned Paris-Dakar event is where Arrow worked with teams to develop 2-stroke and a new range of 4-stroke exhaust systems. This led to a win with the Orioli's Honda team in 1988. Arrow's success continued and as it expanded its offerings into the road race sector and into Worldwide markets. Along the way it gathered an impressive list of racers like: Fred Merkel, Aaron Slight, Colin Edwards, Pierfrancesco Chili, Stephane Chambon, Eddie Lawson, Max Biaggi, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, Alex Criville, Troy Corser, Simeon, Toseland, Sofuolglu, Andrew Pitt and Sam Lowes just last year in World Supersport. Arrow also has won an incredible array of World MX titles and Supermoto titles with riders Andrea Bartolini, Joel Smets, Stefan Everts , Demaria, Philippaerts Delepine and Chareyre. With nearly 30 years in the sector, Arrow offers the widest range of exhausts available on the market today.
